a fan of the band

WARNING: WEEN FAN OUT PAGE

we saw ween last night!

it was totally fucking awesome. it was a thrasher party so the crowd was a mixture of jockish skater boys and uber nerds. me and merks and handful of other girls were in front, and everyone else was a boy.

*interesting fact*: karen, who inspired such classic jams as "Birthday Boy" and "Baby Bitch" was standing right up front. and the dude saw her and was like "oh shit, Karen's here", and then he played "Baby Bitch".

*Fan out moment*: at one point he looked at me merks and i was like "we have a ween cover band!" and he was like "oh yeah?" and i was like "it's called Weenie!" and he was like, "right on."

in case you care, they played:
freedom of 76
buckingham green (probs the best song they did all night, lasted about 15 minutes)
she's you're baby
the mollusk (sick)
baby bitch
dr.rock
zoloft
happy colored marbles
touch my tooter
mutilated lips

and well, just a bunch of other jams. they played for like, 2 fucking hours. i guess i haven't been to a show like that, where i actually LOVE the band, in a long time. it's different then seeing, lets say, gang gang dance at tonic. it's a different feeling.

i was able to completly let go in a way that i haven't for so long. like years almost. i remember what it felt like to be a fan of the band.

it felt really good.
