run run runaway

we went to woodstock the other night. at first we were gonna go to atlantic city. then we thought maybe we'd go to my moms. we rented a van that would've fit everyone, but no one wanted to leave. i really wanted to leave. i always want to leave. we went to woodstock. it's only 2 hours away. you should go sometime.

when we got there we sang karaoke with a bunch of locals who knew we were from nyc. i sang two songs and bill sand one. we went to an all night diner and ate cheese sticks and listened to otis redding and jefferson airplane on the mini jukebox. the waitress told us that her friend was in a band that covers white rabbit "real real good". bill said "oh i'd love to hear them sometime." the place was empty except for us and some of the waitresses friends. it was 2am. when we left they all yelled "bye!"

then we went to this motel across the street. a chinese guy was sleeping and we woke him up. he had a huge fish tank that was only filled up halfway. the room was brown and beige and the bed felt like a gymnastics mat. the shower was small, hot, and strong. stronger than my shower here. i had a great sleep.

i'll admit, i didn't want to come back. there were tiny houses along little creeks and waterfalls. one house was lime green, and one was all wood. i wanted the green one. i imagined myself living there.

i could watch tv all day long.
